Write a story or a poem from the viewpoint of a flip flop.

  1. Ouch
    Stop moving
    Ouch
    Smelly toes
    Ouch
    Mud puddles
    Ouch
    Flying though the air
    Ouch
    Sharpie
    Ouch
    They got another pair
    Ouch
    Rejection

  2. Flippity flop
    Nasty feet
    Flippity flop
    They are no treat
    Flippity flop
    Now with socks
    Flippity flop
    It doesn't rock
    Flippity flop
    I broke today
    Flippity flop
    I got thrown away

  3. No respect. None whatsoever. I mean seriously. THE PUBLIC SHOWERS? Of course, who really cares anyways. I'm just expected to be here to protect your precious little feet from any speck of dirt that threatens their angelic delicacy. This is tooootally disgusting. OH. MY. GOSH. IS THAT A HAIRBALL? Eww ewww ewwwwww! I thought we were supposed to be the stylish shoes that fashionable teenagers wear on to compliment their lavishly tanned legs. This was NOT in the job description! I mean seriously, like, this water looks like chocolate milk. You actually think you're getting clean from this stuff? I can't even, right now. Totes tweeting this when I get home.

  4. The rocks
    The sand
    The pavement
    My favorite textures
They massage my soul like I massage your feet
You think I'm just another pair of shoes
But I'm the first you grab in the summer
    Don't worry
    I'm not offended
I like to think I could understand
    But I don't mind
    I wear down with use
    Not with age,
    Like it should be

  5. I'm always there for you
But all I do is get stepped on
    I'm there for support
I'm there to walk on rocks
You treat me like I'm nothing
Have you ever thought I'm more than just a nothing
I hold you an inch off the ground
The ground where it's cold and filled with hate
I guess I'll always be "just a flip flop"
