Moonbeams and star lights Cast a soft, luminous glow Warming up my damaged soul The silver dust of moonlight settles coldly on the night
The silver dust dies my hair The moonlight glows in my eyes A beast is born from the inside The silver dust of moonlight settles coldly on the night
The full moon makes me see crimson And the sound of bones breaking My claws glimmering with innocence The silver dust of moonlight settles coldly on the night
My unfortunate curse That only hurts When The silver dust of moonlight settles coldly on the night
“Gray-ce!” he called. “Gray-ce! I know you are here somewhere.” He jiggled her favorite food in his hands – Gray-pes – as if they would beckon to her.
Dusk cast a Gray shadow over the freshly fallen snow. He struggled to see the names, but he was certain that hers was nearby. He diligently searched, as if he was on a mission to find the Holy Gray-l.
“Oh, Gray-ce,” he moaned, “Where are you?”
His gnarled hands began to shiver as the brisk wind cut against the gray-ns of his skin. With each step, his legs became stiffer and stiffer. He thought he could go on no longer, until suddenly he caught sight of her.
“Gray-ce!” he exclaimed in triumph. He shuffled through the snow until he could reach out and touch her. “Oh, Gray-ce! I found you!”
Happiness welled in his eyes as he sprinkled the Gray-pes around her. He then kissed his frostbitten finger and touched it to the words that read, “Gray-ce. Loving and Gray-t Wife.”
“I’m never gonna leave you again, Gray-ce,” he proclaimed. “I will stay with you forever.”
He then lay down in the bed of powdery snow, and curled up next to her Gray-ve. His eyes slowly began to close as the Silver dust of moonlight settled coldly on the night.
"Hello? Brian? I'm home!" She tossed the jingling car keys on the counter as she hung up her black pea coat on the hook. Her eyes scanned the dim kitchen. She proceeded slowly towards the living room. "Brian?" She entered the room and her features softened. "Oh! There you are!" Her mouth formed a grin as she trotted over to the blue suede couch and plopped herself down, letting out an exhausted sigh. The man said nothing as he stared at the floor of the vacant apartment. His face was expressionless. "I am soooo tired! I swear I've run all over town this week and not one place is able to rent me enough chairs and tables for the reception! This wedding is wearing me out!" She laid back on the couch with her eyes closed, waiting for him to respond. When he didn't, her eyes opened once more as she sat up. "Brian? Are you okay?" She peered at him, concern filling her hazel eyes. "I don't wanna marry you." She stared at him. "What?" "I don't wanna marry you." He repeated plainly. There was a harsh tone to his voice. He still had not averted his gaze from the glossy wooden floor. "I...I don't understand.." Her words shook as she spoke. "Why?" "Because I don't love you. In fact, I'm not sure I ever did. So I'm leaving. My other girlfriend is moving back to California to live with her family, so I'm going with her. Sorry." But there was not even a hint of remorse in his voice. He leaned in and kissed the fresh tear on her cheek. The man swiftly left the house and drove away, just as the silver dust of moonlight settled coldly on the night.
She raised her hands in song and dance The band was playing loud Her eyes, they glistened, with romance As she stood amidst the crowd
I couldn't keep my eyes off her I'd never seen such life Maybe it was the stench of liquor Or the music of the night
But when she found herself with me My world was turned around A wonderland where I was free Where bright lights and pixie dust abound
And as we danced I fell in love Though I put up quite a fight My heart, it fluttered, like a dove As the silver dust of moonlight settled coldly on the night
The fawn posed with its face inches away from the surface of the partially frozen stream looking more like a statue than a beast. It's ears twitched alertly as the snapping of a branch resonated through the quiet forest. Maybe if it did not move it would not fall prey to whatever lingered in the darkness. The crunch of snow caused the fawn to jerk its head up as if standing at attention. It's wide, unblinking eyes surveyed the area for a moment before it made the decision to dart away. But as the fawn attempted to make its escape a bear, blacker than the night, crashed through the trees. The fawn stood no chance against the massive predator. The forest was enveloped in still silence once more. Blood dappled the pure, white snow next to the bank of the icy creek. The bear wandered contentedly away from its mangled dinner, searching for a winter home within the thick woods. The silver dust of moonlight settled coldly on the night.
She rises like the sun as the golden beams maliciously promise her a better day. Her mind pounded like drums, Flooded back blurry memories from the night before. They danced, And she drank. They hugged, And she drank. They kissed, And she drank. They didn't care, So she drank. They were everywhere and she couldn't escape. He mind tried to leave, But her body was useless. Trapped on the dirty bar stool. But she didn't care, So she drank. She drank her fears and her hate. She drank her anger and frustration. She drank her way into the streets. She drank her way into his unscrupulous bed. She falls with the sun as the silver dust of moonlight settles coldly on the night.
It was Sunday night, time for a walk on the beach. The usual walk me and my daughter, Maddi, take. Her small footprints leaving cute, soft prints in the chilled sand. It was deep black sky with the moon shining bright. Maddi always tried skipping rocks every night but was unsuccessful. We'd walk across the beach talking about life. My daughter always had something to talk about. She was the smartest little girl I knew, so intelligent with an abundant imagination. After talking we would sit down on the sand and just look up at the sky. The stars to bright. We did nothing else that night but star at the sky. It amazed us the way the silver dust of moonlight settled coldly on the night.
