She painted a deep blue sky and busy city streets, She painted what everyone wanted to see. She painted flowing green fields with pretty pink flowers, She painted what everyone wanted to see. She painted a pretty half moon hanging over a house, She always painted what everyone wanted to see. She painted an acrylic smile to cover her mistrust and depression, She was painting a secret only she could see. She was painting her secret, But then her brush hit the ground with a twang, And her hand hit the trigger with a bang.
The stars reflect In your midnight eyes Aquarius Wrapped in robes of blue Pouring night Into the skies Half a world away Giver of rain Young god most beloved No mistrust For your captor Twang of the harp And tip of the glass Return to the heavens Bless the blue skies Refresh the dusty earth Aquarius Bathed in glory Prince of youth Glittering stars In the midnight rain
When the holiday seasons over it makes me feel blue I just love when everything looks so shiny and new Even though some children mistrust the truth They still listen for reindeer hoofs on the roof
Sometimes we only get half of the reason Of the real meaning of the season The twang of the angles harps ring out loud We celebrate Christ's birthday and we are proud!
The twang of the symphony That's what I've always loved even the rush of blue, melancholy tones Rushing past my ears gave me life But I fell, and fell hard And let him ruin me Mistrusted myself And found that I could no longer Feel the vibration Of plucking strings Beneath my calloused fingertips Without realizing that half my life Had past in colorless disarray Because when he left He took shattered bits of me too And I have not only lost the music But I have lost you
Lifeless I feel the half heartedness tug at my heart trying to pry it open
How could i have trusted you so much Just to have my strings of my heart cut at with that rusty pairs of scissors I can still hear the faint twang of the last being cut
My mistrust has left me the cool blue shade of ice for all i feel now is Arctic cold fingers holding my heart
No more lies leading me astray no more trusting those whom I use to call friends This is my decree if I am to be Reborn
Deep blue sky
ReplyDeleteThat is almost black
White shining lights
That make it so bright
After a deep, weary day
The mistrust I felt
Towards my second heart
Didn't make sense
For he was mine, and I was his
Besides, what right did I have?
He was my other half
For a short period of time
I should have depended on him
That is what couples do
Trust
But the twang of his instrument
Told me otherwise
I didn't have a reason
Just a feeling
That happened to be right
I love this! Especially the second part!

And her hand hit the trigger with a bang.
She finally finished her painting.
*gasp. This is so beautiful!
DeleteI agree. I got chills. I looooooooooove this!
DeleteThis is epic. The repetitiveness at the beginning of the phrases is really powerful and so is your ending.
DeleteWhy are you so perfect? Seriously, that was incredible. I'm fangirling over you

ReplyDeleteBlues play
the twang, a bit off
anger aroused
mistrust is formed
as half the band
walks out
in a hurry
I like how short this is but it still tells a story!
DeleteThe mistrust I have in myself
ReplyDeleteBrought upon me by the world.
Half of my heart wants to be someone I'm not
A more desirable girl.
"You're doing it all wrong!"
That's what they scream at me.
Like a constant twang in my ears
Oh, if only they could see.
They say the grass is green.
They say the sky is blue.
But I don't see things the same way.
I paint my own point of view.
My world is upside down,
But that's the way I like it.
They don't quite understand.
Perhaps it's better.
Love, The Misfit.
This is so you and so beautiful! I love it!

Refresh the dusty earth

Bathed in glory
Prince of youth
Glittering stars
In the midnight rain
The words you used were so pretty! :)
